KGNU Community Radio
Interview by Shelley Schlender

The Boulder Chapter of the Society for Scientific Exploration (SSE) has many fans among well-known scientists, but it also has critics who charge that the society’s work also promotes pseudo-science.  We speak with Paul Sperry, co-founder of the local chapter, about why he values “fringe science” and how he believes more intuitive approaches to life and science can benefit scientific discovery.

Accepted Doctrine versus Inner Knowing: Which Do You Follow?

September 18, 2015
Location: Wolf Law Building, University of Colorado, Boulder, CO
Sponsor: Boulder Exo

The destruction of a learning environment or worldview valued by all sentient species is reported to be the one action of a resident civilization that invites intervention. Our distant forebears recognized and venerated Earth energies that project out into the cosmos in seeming connection with other intelligences. Rigorously exploring such concepts can be daunting when establishment science doesn’t recognize them and provides few tools for elucidation. Those who tackle these puzzling questions too often seek more of the same data when a broader spectrum is what is truly needed for any breakthrough. In this presentation, a local scientist will share how journeys to remote sites around the world have led to awakening and trusting subtle ways of knowing which when applied to accepted wisdom yields a more complete picture to paradigm shifts currently underway.

Announcement-GMO-campus-talkGMOs: Seeking Clarity on a Complex Issue

September 10, 2014
Location: University of Colorado, Boulder, CO
Graduate class in Socio-Ecological Sustainability Leadership
Paul Sperry, Gene Milstein and Shirley Morgan

The questions surrounding genetically modified organisms are highly controversial and nearly impenetrable to the general population. Some claim that GMOs will revolutionize agriculture and feed the world while others point to the dangers of exploiting a technology we do not yet understand. The economic and societal potentials are huge, yet impacts may surface only after they are too late to remedy.

This presentation will seek to provide an objective overview and begin a non-political dialogue. Many questions remain unanswered, yet more has been researched than is commonly known. We will seek to sort out the facts from the fears in a process that may continue into the next year. This process underscores our SSE ideals in seeking to elucidate the complexities of our world from a rational point of view.

Announcement-Foothills-Earth-Energy-LinesInvestigating Earth’s Energy Lines

July 24, 2014
Location: Willoughby Art Images Gallery, Denver, CO
Sponsor: Foothills Spiritual Group

Paul Sperry will be this month’s presenter to our Foothills Spiritual Group. Paul has long been investigating Earth energies—working with the Mayans of Guatemala and Honduras, the Maori of New Zealand, the Navajo of Arizona and at other sacred sites in the Bahamas, England, Ireland, Ohio, Hawaii and Scotland. He has quietly been following his intuition as the purpose of his journeys has slowly emerged.

Paul will discuss energy grids that were once known by our ancestors and how and perhaps why they are now being rediscovered. Recognizing that planetary energetic channels mirror acupuncture meridians, Paul will describe how these energy nodes have been located, how they have been opened and what the implications may be. He will touch upon a collective unconscious that has been guiding many working with these sacred sites around our planet. Paul hopes to provide an overview of the topic, then open our gathering to a dialogue that may reveal more of what we collectively know.
